BRAVES BEAT LIONS: The @jserra.boysvolleyball team produced a spirited road effort against Trinity League rival St. John Bosco on Monday before falling to the Braves 16-25, 20-25, 25-19, 15-25 at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower.

Junior Trey Assad produced a team-high 13 kills and 13 digs for the Lions, while senior Darren Chi added 11 kills and a team-leading 17 kills.

Senior Thomas Chugay had seven kills.

Junior Kevin O’Hara recorded 15 digs.

LANCERS TOP LIONS: The @jserra.boysgolf team battled Orange Lutheran in Trinity League action on Monday, with the Lancers earning a 193-207 victory at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Course in Mission Viejo.

Freshman Deacon Teigen shot a team-best score of 39 for the Lions, which included a birdie on the par-4 sixth hole.

Junior Gavin Heller produced a score of 41 for his round, recording a birdie on the par-3 eighth hole.

Sophomore Kaikoa Truong and senior Tyler Gerhardt each totaled scores of 42 for their respective rounds, with Gerhardt birdying the par-4 first hole.
