LIONS TOP COMANCHES: The @jserra.boys_tennis team won its seventh straight match, as the Lions defeated the Canyon Comanches 14-4 in nonleague action on Friday at JSerra Catholic High School.
The Lions are now 10-1 on the season.
Doubles action proved to be the catalyst to victory for JSerra, who swept all nine sets.
Senior Connor Faul and junior Robert Thornton produced wins of 6-0 and 6-2, with Faul and senior Emilio Salgado claiming a 6-2 victory.
Senior Cade Faul and junior Enzo Biundo recorded victories of 6-1 and 6-1, while Biundo also paired with senior Tom Gormley to secure a 6-1 win.
Freshman Aidan Andren and senior Jacob Lebrun earned wins of 6-4 and 6-0, with Andren also teaming senior HB Warner for a 6-1 triumph.
Junior Kayden Kral claimed victories of 6-1 and 6-4 in singles action.
Sophomore Rafael Shaikh (6-3), sophomore Leo Salgado (6-2), and junior Omar Ali (6-1) each added victories in singles competition.
