LIONS EARN DUAL VICTORIES IN FRESNO: The @jserra.boys_tennis team opened play in the California Tennis Classic with two victories on Friday at Clovis North High School in Fresno.
The Lions began with a 5-1 victory over Camarillo.
JSerra was sparked to the win by sweeping all three doubles matches.
Seniors Cade and Connor Faul earned wins of 6-1 and 6-0, senior H.B. Warner and freshman Aidan Andren claimed wins of 6-3 and 6-2, and senior Jacob LeBrun and sophomore MB Drobot took home wins of 6-4 and 6-3.
Juniors Michael Geffre (6-3, 6-3) and Kayden Kral (6-2, 6-1) earned singles wins.
JSerra closed out its’ day of competition with a 6-0 triumph over Jesuit.
Cade Faul produced the signature singles win of the match, as he claimed a three-set triumph by scores of 6-2, 0-6, 12-10.
Sophomore Rafael Shaikh (6-3, 6-1) and Kral (6-2, 6-1) also emerged victorious in singles action.
Geffre and Connor Faul teamed for wins of 6-0 and 6-0, Warner and Andren were triumphant by scores of 6-1 and 6-4, and LeBrun and Drobot claimed victories of 6-1 and 6-2.
