LIONS COMPETE AT CIF-SS FINALS: The @jserra.boysgolf team closed out its` season on Monday by competing at the CIF-SS Division 4 Team Championships at Sterling Hills Golf Course in Camarillo.
The Lions finished in 13th place overall in the 22-team field.
Junior Louie Curran shot a team-best score of 76 for the 18-hole round and finished in 23rd place individually.
His round included an eagle on the par-5 18th hole and birdies on the par 4 second hole and the par-4 seventh hole.
Fellow junior Gavin Heller shot a 79, producing birdies on the par-4 ninth hole and the par-5 16th hole.
Freshman Deacon Teigen shot an 80, birding the par-4 sixth hole and the par-4 17th hole.
Sophomore Jase Johnston shot an 82 on the day, with pars on seven of the back nine holes.
Senior Tyler Gerhardt and sophomore Kaikoa Truong each shot an 88, with Gerhardt birding the 18th hole, and Truong adding a birdie on the par-4 first hole.
