LIONS SWIM PAST FRIARS: The @jserraswimmingdiving Boys Team produced a dominant road pool triumph on Thursday, as the Lions overwhelmed the Servite Friars 123-47 in a Trinity League battle at Servite High School in Anaheim.
JSerra improves to 4-0 overall.
Sophomore Andrew Schneider and junior Joseph Wraith each claimed two victories on the day, as Schneider won the 200IM (2:08.29) and 500 Free (5:01.19), while Wraith was victorious in the 50 Free (22.85) and the 100 Breast (1:05.86).
Also earning individual victories were junior Heath Kitcher (56.96) in the 100 Fly, sophomore Sean Hux (1:00.10) in the 100 Back, and freshman Jonathan Hendy (1:53.08) in the 200 Free.
Hux, Wraith, senior Chase Clements, and junior Hunter Hughes joined forces to win the 200 Medley Relay in a time of 1:44.58.
Schneider, Hendy, Hux, and sophomore Cal Ulicny combined efforts to take home the victory in the 400 Free Relay with a clocking of 3:27.97.
Lions Head Coach Kevin Clements was pleased with the team’s effort heading into this weekend’s Orange County Championships.
“This was a great meet for us heading into the Orange County Championships this weekend,” Clements said. “We lost to Servite last year and easily handled them this season.”
“Once again, our youth is stepping up and competing well.”
