LIONS SURGE PAST STALLIONS: The @jserra.boys_tennis team enjoyed a successful crosstown road trip on Thursday, as the Lions knocked off the San Juan Hills Stallions by a score of 14-4 in a nonleague battle at San Juan Hills High School.

JSerra’s journey to victory was led by a sweep of doubles action.

Seniors Connor Faul and Emilio Salgado teamed for wins of 6-1 and 6-1, while Faul also paired with senior Tom Gormley for a 6-1 victory.

Senior Cade Faul and junior Robert Thornton enjoyed victories of 6-2 and 6-0, with Cade Faul and junior Enzo Biundo producing a 6-4 win.

Seniors HB Warner and Jacob Lebrun joined forces for wins of 6-3 and 7-6, with Warner and freshman Aidan Andren teaming for a 6-2 victory.

Junior Michael Geffre produced triumphs of 6-0 and 6-1 in singles competition.

Sophomore Rafael Shaikh also secured wins of 6-1 and 6-1.

Junior Kayden Kral earned a 6-1 triumph.

JSerra is now 9-1 overall on the season.

LIONS BLANK OAKS CHRISTIAN: The @jserra.beachvolleyball team earned its third straight victory on Thursday, as the Lions defeated Oaks Christian 5-0 in a nonleague match at Fairmont Prep School in San Juan Capistrano.

Seniors Emma Champagne and Sara Moynihan were victorious by scores of 21-19 and 21-12, seniors Skylar Noble and Presley Johnson earned wins of 21-13 and 21-15, junior Berit Brinkema and sophomore Ava Champagne turned in triumphs of 21-12 and 21-6, juniors Sarah Thorp and Lyla Gerstenberger produced victories of 21-12 and 21-8, and senior Catherine Beadles and junior Hollie Hooper secured triumphs of 21-14 and 21-17 in the Lions’ sweep.

JSerra is now 9-2 overall.
