The undefeated @jserra.girlstennis team put forth an impressive start to the 2026 California Tennis Classic on Friday, as the Lions posted dual shutout triumphs in Division 1, Group 1 action at Buchanan High School in Clovis.
JSerra began Friday’s court action with a 6-0 win over the Stockdale Mustangs.
Junior Isabella Geffre (6-3, 6-2), junior Brookelyn Garcia (6-3, 6-3), and sophomore Paisley Crutchfield (6-2, 6-1) anchored the Lions’ effort in singles play.
Senior Naomi Clarke and junior Milana Leffler (6-4, 6-3), junior Ava Levitanus and freshman Kailyn Martin (6-0, 6-1), and freshman Nina Yacko and sophomore Angela Li (6-1, 7-5) sparked action in doubles competition.
JSerra closed out its’ successful opening day effort with a 6-0 victory over the San Joaquin Memorial Panthers.
Garcia and Leffler teamed up for wins of 6-0 and 6-0, Geffre and sophomore Gretchen Warner were also victorious by scores of 6-0 and 6-0, while Yacko and junior Carissa Vu combined forces for wins of 6-1 and 6-0.
Crutchfield secured triumphs of 6-2 and 6-0 in singles competition, with Levitanus also winning in straight sets by scores of 6-2 and 6-0.
Clarke went the distance in her singles battle, winning by scores of 6-2, 4-6, 10-3.
JSerra is now 7-0 on the season and will head into Division 1 Championship Group play on Saturday.
