A season of unparalleled achievement by the JSerra Girls Flag Football was spotlighted with several noteworthy accolades.

Freshman Ava Irwin’s memorable first year campaign was highlighted by two noteworthy honors, as she was named the CIF-SS Division 1 Player of the Year and the Orange County Player of the Year by the Orange County Register.

Freshman Tessa Russell and junior G.G. Szczuka were also selected the All CIF-SS Division 1 First Team.

Russell, Szczuka, and freshman Sterling Flores were also selected the All-County First Team.

Freshman Kate Meier was named to the All-County Second Team.

Lions Head Coach Brian Ong earned a triumvirate of major coaching awards.

He was named the Los Angeles Chargers Orange County/Inland Empire Coach of the Year, the CIF-SS Division 1 Coach of the Year, and the Orange County Register’s Coach of the Year.

JSerra completed a perfect 28-0 season with its’ first ever CIF-SS Division 1 title and was named the MaxPreps National Champions.
