LIONS COMPLETE HISTORIC CHAMPIONSHIP QUESTS

The JSerra Girls Cross Country team emphatically stamped its’ place amongst the greatest distance running teams in county and state history this fall.

An undefeated regular season saw them win noteworthy team titles at the PR City Invitational, the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic, the ASICS Clovis Invitational, and the Orange County Cross Country Championships.

JSerra claimed its 15th Trinity League title in the last 16 years before capping its season with CIF spotlight.

The Lions seized their fifth straight CIF-SS Division 4 title at the CIF-SS Divisional Finals at Mt. San Antonio College.

JSerra’s title was the 10th in program history, which tied them with Corona del Mar for the most in Orange County history.

One week later at the 2025 CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno, the Lions completed their second “five-peat” by winning the Division 4 state title.

The Lions are now one of only three programs in state history to win five consecutive state title, joining Great Oak (2012-18) and Saugus (2008-12).

JSerra’s eighth state title in program history officially crowned them as Orange County’s new “standard of excellence” for state titles, as they broke a tie with Corona del Mar for the most state titles by an Orange County school.
