Sophomore Ryan Doane of the JSerra Boys Basketball team enjoyed a standout season that earned him one of the state’s most coveted recognitions, as Doane has been named the 2025-2026 Cal-Hi Sports State Sophomore Player of the Year.

Doane averaged 11.3 points per game and 9.9 rebounds per game in helping the Lions reach the CIF-SS Division 1 Championship game and the CIF Division 1 State Basketball playoffs.

He becomes JSerra’s first ever class player of the year honoree and the first sophomore player of the year from Orange County since 2019.
