LIONS FALL AT PALOS VERDES: The @jserra.girlslax team put forth a solid road effort in Saturday’s nonleague contest against Palos Verdes, but the Sea Queens emerged with a 9-6 victory over the Lions at Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes Estates.

Senior Kate Berkus scored three goals to lead the Lions attack, while fellow senior Hannah Quinn added two goals in the fourth period.

Junior Viv Devir also found the back of the net for a first half goal.
