LIONS COLLECT SEVERAL NOTEWORTHY POSTSEASON ACCOLADES
The JSerra Boys Soccer team produced a season that will go down in lore as one of the best in Orange County history.
Not surprisingly, the Lions’ brilliance on the pitch this past winter has been reflected with a number of prominent postseason awards.
Senior Gavin Allegaert was named the CIF-SS Open Division Player of the Year and selected as the Trinity League’s Most Valuable Player.
The UC San Diego bound Allegaert proved to be one of the top attackers in the county this season, scoring 22 goals and added 10 assists.
He was also selected to the Orange County Register’s All-County First Team.
Lions Head Coach Erik Kirsch was named the CIF-SS Open Division Coach of the Year.
It is the second time in three years that Kirsch has been named CIF Coach of the Year, as he won the award in Division 1 during the 2022-2023 season.
Senior Jake Tatch was named the Orange County Register’s 2025 Boys Soccer Player of the Year.
Tatch, headed to the University of Michigan, tallied a team-leading 23 goals and 15 assists.
