LIONS GARNER TOP CIF-SS ACADEMIC AWARD
The JSerra Boys Lacrosse team earned one of the CIF Southern Section’s top annual team awards, as the Lions are one of 30 teams to be honored as winners of the 2025-26 CIF-SS Ford Academic Awards.
The 38th annual awards spotlights teams with outstanding cumulative GPAs in two enrollment categories for each sport (1500 students and below and 1500 students and above).
The Boys Lacrosse team claimed the award with highest cumulative GPA of schools with 1500 students and below at 3.719.
The Lions were honored along with the other team winners in each sport during a pre-game ceremony before the Los Angeles Angels hosted the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, April 20th at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
Seniors Jackson Story of the JSerra Boys Soccer team and Kaylah Tasser of the JSerra Girls Cross Country & Track and Field teams were among 359 student athletes honored by their respective schools as the 2025-2026 “Student Athlete of the Year”
Individual honorees are seniors that have a minimum 3.50 GPA over the last three years, earned a varsity letter, and participated in an extracurricular activity.
Both Story and Tasser have been recognized with unweighted GPAs of 4.00.
