The JSerra Girls Soccer team made it four straight wins to start the season, as the Lions edged the Downey Vikings, 1-0, in a nonleague match Thursday at Downey High School.

Freshman Kaylee Hanna supplied the biggest kick of the night with less than 10 minutes remaining in regulation.

Off a corner kick that bounced in front of the goal and was deflected by a Vikings defender, Hanna found the ball a few feet away from the near post and chipped a perfectly placed left-footed shot over the head and out-stretched arms of the Vikings goalie and into the back of the net for the match-winner and the first goal of her high school career.
