The JSerra Boys Soccer team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 2-0 victory over the Mira Costa Mustangs in a nonleague match on Friday at JSerra Catholic High School.

Senior Gavin Allegaert supplied the signature play of the match in the 57th minute.

Sophomore Hudson Garner floated a crossing pass from the right side into the middle of the box, where Allegaert timed his leap perfectly and bicycle kicked a line drive shot into the back of the net to give the Lions a 1-0 lead.

Sophomore Aquiles Rodriguez added an insurance score in the 73rd minute, booting a shot into the back of the net off an assist from senior Brody Martinez.
