The JSerra Girls Water Polo team came up just short in its’ bid to advance to the final four of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs, as the Lions were defeated by Dos Pueblos 8-7 in a quarterfinals contest at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta.

After trailing 6-3 at the intermission, the Lions outscored the Chargers 4-2 in the second half, but the rally came up one-goal short.

Juniors Sayre Duran and Kamryn McCord each scored three goals, while sophomore Cece Schneider also added a goal for the Lions.

JSerra completes the season with a record of 17-7.
